Training

We bring intensity to every session. Practices blend skill development, conditioning, and tactical work so that every player levels up together.

The team typically practices at Moore Park on Tuesday and Thursday from 8-9 PM.

Travel

Depending on the conference, the team travels across the midwest for regular season games away games.

The team also attends various tournaments during the Spring.

Giving Back

The team supports causes such as the Special Olympics, which we raise money for with the Polar Plunge.

Annual Events and Traditions

Our calendar is stacked with the traditions that keep the team together off the field. Here is the yearly rhythm that keeps South Pitt connected.

June

Summer Hummer

A chance to welcome all hooligans, active and retired, back to the field for a friendly game and BBQ.

June

Half Way to Dive Day

The mid-year bar crawl through Brookline and Dormont. Like its name suggests, it acts as a warm-up for Dive Day and a chance to get together during the summer.

February

The Polar Plunge

A charity cold plunge for the Special Olympics. Players raise money and brave the cold together.

Summer

7s Tournaments

Weekend travel, fast rugby, and long days in the tri-state area. Summer 7s keep our speed sharp and our crew close.

We typically field a "Husky Boys" team for those that care more about the social than the results.

Spring

Touring Games

We travel to tournaments and rugby gatherings across the region, building connections with clubs and bringing the South Pitt spirit wherever we land.
